Shane and I have been in a daze for 3 or so weeks. We just sit on the couch and stare at the walls at night, and we sleep like rocks at night. Emotionally exhausted I think.
2 weeks ago we sold the Jeep, which was a tiresome process. BUT it's done with. We then had 2 weeks to find a replacement before my dad got back in town and needed his car back. He returns tomorrow, and praise God, we found a car and bought it on Tuesday morning, so we don't have to worry about sharing a car between him, Shane and I. God's timing is perfect and He never fails us...He shows that to us every day.
I'm 32/33 weeks along and feeling pretty good. I had a bad cold last week that was annoying, but it's over now and my energy and appetite are back. I'm still trying to stay active to keep my energy level up. I stopped running last week, partly due to feeling like I have a cement block in my stomach and partly due to the fact that my running shoes are completely shot. According to the websites, Elsa is now between 4 and 5 pounds. That is so crazy to me. From here on out, she is fully developed and just fattening up. We've been seeing and feeling her move a lot. I have to say that is probably the most enjoyable aspect of pregnancy. This weekend my mom's friends are throwing a shower for us, so that should be fun. I'll hopefully have some pictures to post next time. The K's are coming in town and staying in our house. We're excited to host our first house guests. Well, actually Tim stayed with us a couple weeks ago, but we didn't have a guest bed yet, so he wasn't as comfortable as the K's will be...sorry Tim.
That's it for now! Thanks for keeping up with us.
"May God bless you and keep you always, may your wishes all come true, may you always do for others, and let others do for you. May you build a ladder to the stars and climb on every rung. May you stay forever young.
May you grow up to be righteous, may you grow up to be true, may you always know the truth, and see the lights surrounding you. May you always be courageous, stand upright and be strong, may you stay forever young.
May your hands always be busy, may your feet always be swift, may you have a strong foundation when the winds of changes shift. May your heart always be joyful and may your song always be sung. May you stay forever young." -Bob Dylan
"Not talking about a year, no not three or four. I don't want that kind of forever in my life anymore. Forever always seems to be around when it begins, but forever never seems to be around when it end. So give me your forever, please your forever. Not a day less will do from you.
People spend so much time every single day runnin' 'round all over town givin' their forever away. But no not me, I won't let my forever roam and now I hope I can find my forever a home. So give me your forever, please your forever. Not a day less will do from you.
Like a handless clock with numbers, an infinite of time. No not the forever found only in the mind. Forever always seems to be around when things begin, but forever never seems to be around when things end. So give me your forever, please your forever. Not a day less will do from you." - Ben Harper

30 Weeks
Wow, it's been a crazy week. Monday we found out that Matt and Becca are expecting a GIRL. Very exciting, congratulations. Elsa is excited about her cousin and Will is excited about being a big brother. Tuesday my friend Nikki gave birth to her son, Jude. It was 3 hours from the time she went into labor to the time Jude was out. Sounds pretty good to me, so I've been selfishly praying for a quick labor and delivery. My friend Brittany, on the other hand, gave birth to her little girl tonight around 7:30. She went into labor before Nikki...wow. Brittany and I will be having mommy dates, which will be fun! I'm excited to spend more time with her. Her sister, Ashley, was one of my bridesmaids and sang at our wedding. She has the most beautiful voice, and heart. Love her.
I had my 28/29 week appointment on March 7th. All good news. I had my glucose tolerance test, and all came out great. No glucose problems for Elsa and me. My blood pressure was great and Elsa's heart beat was strong. I was told to start counting her movements for an hour each day to make sure she moves at least 10 times. So far I haven't had to count the whole hour because I feel her 15-20 times in the first 15 minutes. She's an active little one. It was a very encouraging appointment. I go back this Monday, the 21st.
Tonight Shane and I had a photo shoot of our bellies, so I hope you enjoy! Happy 30 weeks to us!

One man's trash is another man's treasure...
Shane and I were taking a casual walk around the neighborhood the other night. We pass the dumpster on the way to the mailbox and, wala! Lookie what we found! Shane couldn't go home without them sooooo we walked home with them. It's kind of nice not having to worry about our patio furniture being stollen considering it was free. And when we move, we put them on craigslist. It's a win-win for us!
Thanks neighbors.
